The Nikola Tesla Museum

The Nikola Tesla museum is located in the central area of Belgrade. It was built in 1929 by a Serbian architect Dragiša Brašovan. At first the building had other purposes, and in 1952 it became the museum. It is the only museum in the world that preserves original and personal inheritance of Nikola Tesla.

In the museum you can find a large number of Tesla's original personal documents, books, photographs, plans and drawings. Also historical technical exhibits, photo plates of technical objects, instruments and apparatus.

The museum has seven rooms: In the first room you can see Tesla's photographs, personal documents and letters from many great scientists of that time(Einstein, Crookes, Kelvin..)

In the second room you can see instruments from Tesla's laboratories, selected personal and family photographs and objects and newspaper articles. In the last show-case there are documents of his death and funeral in New York, from 1943.

In the third room there is the urn with Tesla's ashes.

In the other four rooms you begin your journey through Tesla's great inventions and machines.

The museum can be visited Tuesday-Sunday from 10AM to 6PM. 

I assure you you will not be making a mistake if you decide to visit this place, whether you're a researcher of history, science or environmental protection, or just a tourist who enjoys sightseeing and exploring historical and cultural sights.
